Is it possible to take out the O's in a car cassette adapter used to play CDs and MP3 players through the car speakers?

I want to remove the rotations O's in my car cassette adapter that I use to play my MP3 player over the car's speaker system. The rotating O's are squeaky and annoying, but before I go ahead and open it up, I wanted to know if they were necessary or required for making the adapter work. I don't recommend removing them Those things are there because your cassette player's transport mechanism needs them to keep the device aligned properly. My suggestion is to buy a can of spray lube like Tri-Flow and squirt some of it into the mechanism to quiet the squeaks. It will not damage your cassette player, and it should get rid of the problem.

You might also consider an FM adapter. They're more expensive, but the sound quality will be better. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
