Is paragliding the same as parasailing, parachuting, or BASE-jumping?

No. Parasailing is being towed behind a boat under a kind of parachute. You are just being dragged around like a kite really, not controlling or piloting the aircraft as in paragliding.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
