Yes, scalp psoriasis is curable. Scalp psoriasis may come as very mild or from moderate to very severe. And for each condition, there are suitable treatments that one can have.
For very mild psoriasis, tar products and salicylic acid are generally sufficient to treat it. If the scalp psoriasis involves few areas then a steroid injection may be given but this should be sparingly used. For moderate to severe scalp psoriasis, your dermatologist may prescribe you with antimicrobial treatment. So it is important to see your dermatologist and discuss about the right treatments that you need.
You may also be prescribed with topical treatments or systemic medication treatments. UV combs or natural sunlight are also proven to work effectively. Now, there are also available food supplements that cleanse and heal the damaged cells.
Many are healed already so they’re worth trying, too.
Scalp psoriasis can be cured. It can vary from mild to severe and can be very stubborn in the most severe cases. One must not confuse scalp psoriasis for seborrheic dermatitis.
Symptoms of both include, red, itchy and flaky skin. The difference is that in psoriasis, the flakes are larger, drier and thicker than in seborrheic dermatitis. If you think you have scalp psoriasis, you will most likely have it in other areas such as the elbows, knees, hands or feet.
Standard treatments for the condition include the use of over the counter shampoo such as Denorex and those containing tar or salicylic acid. Ointments and gels that contain vitamin D and corticosteroids are also helpful. Another thing you can do is apply mineral oil to the scalp before going to bed and cover with a shower cap.
This helps to ease the inflammation and loosen the scales to they are more easily removed. If these mesaures do not work, (in severe cases), consult your physician, who may prescribe medication that can be taken orally or gels and ointments. Good luck!
I cleared my scalp psoriasis with serenaskin herbal remedies. It took only a week of ointment and spray application. I guess everybody has to find something that works for him/her.
Psoriasis is treatable. My daughter and my best friend have both had psoriasis on their scalp. My daughters was very mild on her head and my best friend had it pretty severe.
For mild psoriasis your doctor may recommend tar products or salicylic acid. For cases that are more severe you may have to talk with your doctor. Often they will have you try one treatment and then have you change products.
For some reason it seems like we can get immune to the treatment working if we have used one product for a while. Actually my daughter grew out of her psoriasis altogether. She used to have it not only on her head but on her hands and feet as well.
The strangest thing happened with my best friend. She used product after product on her scalp and nothing worked. Then she moved to Hawaii with her then soon to be spouse.
Her Psoriasis cleared up immediately with the warm weather. She moved back home many years ago and the psoriasis never returned.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
