This is probably a stupid question. I bought some movies on iTunes as part of a plan to keep the kids entertained on the plane on our last trip. They didn't watch them.
I know they can watch them on my Mac or on the iPod, but neither is an option a like. Is there anyway to allow them to watch them on the TV? Asked by Mamasunotheremuch 41 months ago Similar questions: hook iPod TV stupid question Computers > Software.

Yes, you can connect your iPod to your TV. This is a great question actually. There are a bunch of adapters available which let you connect your iPod to a TV.
You can find many different kinds at the link below. Just make sure you get the one that is made for the iPod model that you have. amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-ali..." rel="nofollow">amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-ali... There are no stupid questions here on Askville, when someone knows the answer to a question, we give it. If you go to an Apple store (or Apple online), you can purchase a breakout cable to connect your ipod to your television and depending on the model you own, you can get one to output in either composite or component. Without getting too technical, the primary difference between the two modes is image quality.
Composite is the most common and is recognizable immediately by the familiar Yellow, white & red connectors (typically, yellow for video & white and red for left/right, stereo audio). This will give you the most flexibility as most televisions (both SD & HD) will usually accommodate this type of input. If you have one of the latest ipods and an HDTV, you may be able to connect it via component which is comprised of 5 cables, 3 for video and two for audio (typically represented as red, green & blue for video and white and red for left/right stereo audio) Using component will always render a better picture but not all ipods can output video in component mode nor can all televisions accommodate component inputs, so check with Apple AND your television set manufacturer before you buy anything.
Notes: Apple charges the same for either cable set (approx $50 USD) but you can typically find compatible "aftermarket" composite cables on Ebay for about $5-$8 USD and Believe it or not, They work just as well so, the choice is yours! .
1 Your question isn't stupid. Just yesterday my daughter and I were talking about how great it would be if you could upload movies to your iPod just like you can with music. I know with a simple adapter you can listen to have your iPod play music on your stereo but I'm not aware of anything with movies to your TV.
Good luck....I hope there is a way for you to do this.

2 I hope so too. I suppose I could burn them to DVD, but I think you need some sort of something to shrink them down to one DVD. Not sure.
There are USB ports on the Verizon Fios Box and jacks of all kinds on the big HD tv.

Just another stupid question for those of you bored this rainy, cold Saturday. " "I have to ask a question to complete the stupid 'orientation challenge' so my question is, what question should I ask?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
