Is there a way to search for questions on here based on who asked them?

Sure! If you have a way of keeping track of their screen name, like if they are on the leader lists or have posted in your comment section or you have an email from them or if they just post alot so that you can easily access their screen name, all you have to do is click on their screen name which will take you to their account. When there, just click on the Questions tab, and you will see the list of questions that that person has asked.

We are hoping that to make this kind of friendly "stalking" easier, that Askville will enable us to have a "friends" list where we can bookmark our favorite users to be able to follow them like this. Short answer, nope You can't do a search for a person's name, but if you go to anywhere you see their name and click on it, you can look at their asked questions. For example, if you've answered another question by this person, or if you know they commented on a question, or if they've left you a message in your profile, or if you've PM'd them, just click on their name. Once you're in their profile, click on "questions".

You can scroll through their questions. Unfortunately, there's no way to see if the question is open or not unless you click on it. That's the only way I know how to do it.

Sometimes I wish askville had a "friends" list for things like you just described.

Only via their profile If you go to anyone’s profile you can see a list of questions they’ve asked and answers they’ve given. That’s the only way I know of to do this. Askville's search function only searches by topics so it wouldn't be of any help here.In particular, I enjoy reading the responses to edfoug’s questions.

Sure Just click on their screen name and in their public profile you will find all their questions and answers since they got on askville.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
