Is there actual proof the world will end in 2012? (except for the prediction of the mayans)?

Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33) Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns. The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Saying the world is ending is perceiving the process of an end. Just because the human race cease to exist doesn't mean the earth is non existent. Just because the earth is destroyed doesn't mean the human race is non existent.

The earth is inevitably going to be destroyed. Not by some prophecy or man made bomb(at least not any time soon), but it will inevitable be hit by an object from outer space or engulfed by a star or devoured by a black hole. Obviously this will most probably happen long after the human race has relocated or died out.

The human races end however will be that of the minds doing. Eventually immortality will be discovered and people will realize that living forever as the dysfunctional personalities they have developed will be hell and thus choose to erase their memories effectively killing who they are. Pride will force culture and dysfunction into the new minds and cause their end as well.

Eventually the ai governing the human race will cease care for us assuming the futile effort.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
