It's hard work to keep up. If you want to remain part of the youth culture, you have to stay interested in new things. If you watch kids, teens, and people in their 20s; they work hard to show interest in new things because it is part of their developing identity. It is hard work for anyone to keep up with trends, even for younger people, and you have to decide you care about youth culture and put constant effort into knowing what is going on with it.
Spend time researching things that younger people are into, and spend as much time with younger people as you can, but you have to listen, instead of talking about yourself, and realize they have as much to teach you as you have to teach them.
I wish I think having kids around, helps to keep you younger, but at the same time it also can make you feel so much older because of the endless energy they seem to have. My 5 boys help to keep me young and in shape, kinda, because to keep up with them I have to.... Its never a dull moment. But its great when I get them all put to sleep and their Halos can come out and sit ontop of the horns.

2 #1 - Rock, I was just going to say that. It'd be better if they came up to our standards since we've had more experience and can hand out some advice. CoT: it's "fogie" isn't it?
You must be thinking of Folger coffee, lol.

3 I agree. I'm an old fogie too. There's a lot of us out there!
Old fogies have good manners, class, and know how to control themselves (most of the time! ) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
