Is there some reason that Askvillers keep changing their avatar on Askville?

It seems that the avatar switching comes and goes in streaks. I am beginning to feel that I am behind the power curve by keeping the same one since I started on Askville. Can someone enlighten me to change or not to change?

It is fun! I am not somebody who changes his avatar every week but there are some who change their avatars a few times a week. I would say it is just for fun.

I have done it for fun and as a prank! In two occasions I changed my avatar and fooled a lot of people! The first one was when bonus questions were introduces.

I changed my avatar to the following avatar and changed my screen name to "BonusQuestion". It even confused a member of Askville staff. The second time was when Askville suspended 17 Askvillers.

I changed my avatar to pretend I am also suspended. Here is the avatar that I chose at the time: It again confused some people. It was just for fun.

The first one was in support of Cak. ( askville.amazon.com/view/ViewUserProfile... ) who was fighting cancer at the time. It was called "project orange" at that time.

Askville community members decided to change their avatars and make them orange and add the word "orange" to their screen names. askville.amazon.com/project-orange/Topic... Apart from those cases, a lot of people change their avatars for different occasions like their birthday, independence day, president's day, etc..

I confess, I am an avatar changer. So many avatars, so little time. I also have a little known talent, and that is helping others find a new avatar.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
