I've heard the quailty of the MIM's after 2006 have improved. What can be said of the early '90's MIM's compared to the early 2000's?

Not much comparison at all, the current MIM strats are great guitars (depending on model) the Roadworn series play very nice, and though the MAP is around $999, musicians friend regularly does fender friday blowouts on various models. I've seen roadworn's for $499 new, and Kenny Wayne signature models similarly priced. As I recall the early 90's MIM's had inferior pickups and hardware to their US counterparts.

Current MIM's have tex-mex pickups which are actually quite good sounding. As with any mass produced guitar, you've got to play a bunch to find one that sounds good, and set up can be atrocious at chain stores like GC and Sam Ash. But in the sub $800 category, there aren't alot of guitars that can touch a good MIM strat or tele.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
