Natural backlinking is ok. There's nothing wrong with letting others know about your hubs. However, it is wrong to PAY people to backlink to you who have no interest in your hubs at all, but are only linking back just for money.

Well, that is a novelty...I did not know that it is against the rules to ask about social bookmarking sites. People have been asking and answering questions and postig forum threads on this topic ever since I have been here!?
The rules do change. Every time a new way of cheating becomes too widespread a method has to be found to catch and deal with that. Since most of us only ever hear of the new ways once they are already old I prefer to do what feels right.
That should never be penalized.

And the answers are always in opposition to one another, and sometimes disturbing. It seems like the situation is such that someone could get arbitrarily booted for doing something that everyone else does, and always has done. That's what worries me, because I'm Mr. Un.Popular.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
