I'm guessing you found out about this guy from a neighborhood watch source, or online. So, the good news is, you know where he lives. Or maybe he is someone you know, who you are trying to cut out of your lives.In which case, the good news is that you know what he looks like, and what he is like.

Either way, please keep a few things in mind: 1. Sex offender registries have the negative side effect of lulling us into believing that sex offenders all have some sort of scarlet letter on them. You cannot keep kids safe from sex offenders just by keeping them away from the guys on the list.

There are dangerous people out there who have never been caught. 2. Predators who seek out children are usually (but not always!

) more comfortable and confident going for kids they know. They build relationships with the parents, build trust with both parents and child, and then offend.So, worry less about strangers and more about adults the kids are around all the time. But don't panic!

Because... 3. You can, and should, teach children that they own their bodies, and that they have the right to say no, kick, scream, fight and run away from adults that violate their sense of safety. If you can teach children to be assertive, and let them know that they can ALWAYS come to you, and that you will ALWAYS hear them out and ALWAYS do what you can to protect them, you stand a good chance of having some kids that are safe from the strangers and safe from the familiar predators.

Talk to kids about sexual abuse openly, honestly, and often. You don't want them to be afraid of their own shadows, but you do want them to know that they have the right to be safe. Know the adults they spend time with and ask kids about these adults.

If this is a person you know, who is trying to have contact with you or your family, contact the police. They can help you obtain a court order.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
