Kindle vs Real Books: Pros and Cons and reasons. Go?

Ebooks and print books are all books--often the same books. It isn't an either/or. Each person can use either or both formats as they please.

You probably shouldn't count my opinion on this one. I've never been an early adapter of new technology. LOL!

My hunch is technology like the Kindle, iPad, and Nook are here to stay, There was a time when this same question was posed to newspaper readers. Today many newspapers have filed bankruptsy and the postal system is losing money due to "bill pay" egreeting cards, and email in general. Google searches have replaced using the yellow pages phone book in most households.

Millions of people have opted to go completely wireless with regard to phone use. They don't see a point in paying for a land-line. The iPod and other MP3 devices pretty much killed the Sony Walkman.

The ease of use and having the abilty to download 20,000 songs on a tiny hand held tool compared to walking around with one CD disk loaded on a walkman...etc No one wants to go back to carrying a case of CDs around. Netflix and cable TV companies ability to download movies pretty much killed Blockbuster Video. For those who continue to rent DVDs a large number of them are using Red Box which only charges $1 and the DVDs can be returned at any Red Box location.

The Kinldle and it's competitors allows a person to have thousands of books in their hands all at once. As the technology improves with regard to display opitons more people utilize them and soon they'll be marketed as the "ultimate green product" Less paper products translates into less trees being cut down...etcThis is a very timely question as Barnes & Knoble has been put up for sell. http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/11038Basically technology changes the world!

Those of us who prefer books today will be using Kindles and iPads down the road, especially once prices come down.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
