Linux: How can I get a digital tuner card working on a usb live distro? (Details Inside)(No hdd for use)?

I would highly recommend going with a DVR specific distribution to avoid the headaches of installing drivers and keeping everything up to date and working. I have used MythTV with Hauppauge cards before and let me tell you they have great support! A few MythTV-centric distributions you might want to look in to: Ubuntu Based -- mythbuntu.org/ Linux Fedora|Fedora Based -- mythdora.com/ The nice things about these distributions is that they come pre-packaged and ready to go for use with all the major TV tuner cards.

Geekbox is certainly a pretty cool project with a very sleek and sexy interface but I feel it lacks some of the functionality you may be looking for such as easy and rock solid DVR recording.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
