The Nikon D1 is a nice digital camera that you can use on auto.

There are dozens of them on the market, each with pretty much the same features. The real differentiators are size (teeny tiny to cigarette-pack size) and type of battery. The little flat batteries are smaller but need to be charged more ...The other differentiator is the size of the screen on the back.

They're between 2 and 3 inches wide. From the point of view of ease of use -all of them have an 'automatic mode' which does the thinking for you. Low end: $85-90, high end $200.

They're all good. NOTE: I have friends who bought Kodak and they are unhappy. I own a Pentax Optio P80, and love it.

I would HIGHLY recommend the new Panasonic Lumix LX5. The lens is amazing (Leica), and the Macro functionality is awesome! Good luck :-) .

Thanks much Guy. :-) I appreciate your response. Nickyname 14 months ago .

I forgot to add that 'real' close up pictures would require a macro setting on the camera. Some have them some don't. That information would be in the reviews.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
