Which digital camera has the quickest shutter speed and lag time, but is easy to operate and takes the crispest pictures I have a NIKON coolpix and hate it. When I push the shutter button, it has to focus and beep before you can take a picture, despite any of the modes it's in and I am always missing my shots. Additionally, my shots are all blurry/yellow even after it focuses.
I've used sony cybershots before and they seemed to have better shutters but aren't known for clear/sharp photos or detail. Any idea of one that I can quickly snap (I have kids) but have the option for detailed photos later? SLR?

When you go to digital SLRs starting at $500, you start to get into professional territory and you eliminate a lot of the problems of the smaller, cheaper cameras.
I'm willing to spend some. I've considered getting an SLR and at this point, I'm thinking I might just have to. Ideally I want a small, compact point and shoot that I can throw in a purse and go.
I want to be able to grab it at a whim and snap a picture of my kids in the moment. When I push the shutter button, I want it to take the picture, not focus for the next 5 seconds! If I wanted the camera to slowly zoom before taking the picture, then clearly I would just do an SLR :) I've looked at the Canon powershot G12 and Sony cybershots.
Maybe buy a point and shoot AND and SLR? Girlygirlkristina 13 months ago .
You could do that. All the small pocket cameras have a lag between the time you press the button and the time it takes the picture. You would have to read all the reviews to see which one is the quickest.
They're all trying to auto focus and auto adjust. Fine for party pictures, but you probably want a digital SLR for good photography.
You can spend a lot of money to get a camera tht will take ten pictures in the same minute. Or will give you details of a football player from the stands. But if you want just one picture and can get close, the problem is not the camera but the technique.
Use a tripod. Frame the picture. Have a lesson in photography.
For this kind of photography,m any Sony, Canon, or other brand camera between $100 to $250 should do excellent work and even less expensive cameras will make good pictures. Over 8 MEG in the picture is useful only if you pick a portion and crop it and want a very big picture on paper.
Ha ha! $28 grand isn't bad, right? That's great :) girlygirlkristina 13 months ago .
By the way, I've been told that as a starter SLR, I should look for the Canon Rebel. Is this a camera you would recommend or would you choose the EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera over the rebel? THANKS!

I would talk to people. My wife has a Canon and is leartning how to use it. But really I am not the best person to ask.
I have a Sony, but it is three years old. That is a decade for cameras. Probably you should get the most mega pixels you can afford in a very new camera.
I do like the EOS if you do want my opinion. It has many features you want.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
