Looking for a sci-fi book I read many years ago 15 to 10 years ago I read a sci-fi paperback book where the main character was a humanoid tiger. The part I remember was he had a domestic cat for a pet. He would eat hamburger and give some of it to the cat.
This is the only thing I am sure about. I want to say that he was a pilot of some type of spacecraft, but lived on a spacestation. Also he was feeling an attraction to a human woman, which I seem to believe was taboo or he was worried of hurting her.
She enjoyed running her had through his fur. The look of the main character was more like the kzinti of the Star Fleet Universe, which was adapted from Niven's books. He looked like a tiger on two legs.
I really think he was only of his species in the book. Sorry I can't remember more. I am now thinking it might be Forests in the Night by S Andrew Swann Asked by Inusbabe 32 months ago Similar questions: sci fi book read years ago Arts > Books > Books - Science Fiction.

1 That vaguely reminds me of Fritz Leiber's _The Wanderer_. Or, the character could have been one of Larry Niven's Kzinti.

Try the "Star Bridge" series by A.C. Crispin; in one of those books there's a cat-like being (can't remember the title of that particular book). The story sounds somewhat similar. Good luck!
LOL Amazon has it listed if you want to see for yourself.
Back again. The book I was referring to is called "Voices of Chaos" by A.C. Crispin and Ru Emerson. Hamburger isn't mentioned, though, so it's a long shot.

May have been early 60's. I keep thinking Simak or someone like him. The character sees and alien who says "I swap my mind with you.
" Then when he comes back he is on the run from his own people. It oculd have been in Astounding Magazine.
Thats the one I'm looking for. Thats also about all I can remember about it too. I'm thinking it was a book.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
