I love my front-loader Kenmore HE4 washer/dryer. Front-loaders offer lots of ongoing savings from an cost and energy-efficiency standpoint. I can't remember the exact calculation, but due to the larger cubic sq.Ft.
Of the front loader, the less water they need to clean, and their spinning cycles are faster making you save money on the drytime, the extra cost the front loader had would have taken less than 3 years for me to cover the extra cost vs. a traditional top-loader. If you have a larger family (i'm married with no kids) than the breakeven for you is probably even faster. I ended up buying the Kenmore HE4 front-loader.It's made by Whirlpool (best quality), but its cheaper than Whirlpool's Duet.
Also, if you want to save on money, just get the front-loader only and buy a top-loading dryer. There really isn't any benefit in buying a front-loading dryer, outside of aesthetics. It was also considered one of the best washers/dryers by Consumer Reports! FYI - when I was doing my research 2 yrs ago, the LG front-loaders were known to shake/vibrate way too much for a front-loader and repairs were a problem.
Now they may have fixed these problems over the past 2 years, but thought I'd warn you. Below is a useful link with some more info on washer/dryers. Good luck!

Capacity, 13 Wash Cycles & 1200 RPM Speed: Dove Grey on White Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) Amazon sells them too, but I'd go to Sears and get it there and get the Kenmore (it'll save you money)..
Consumersearch says the best washer is the Whirlpool WTW5500S at about 400 Conventional top-loading washer. Despite all the ads on TV for expensive front-loading washers, about three out of four people prefer conventional top-loading washing machines. Reviews say the Whirlpool WTW5500S cleans well and is easy to use.
This model has a 3.2-cubic-foot wash tub, five wash/spin combinations and ten automatic cycles. Rotary dials instead of electronic controls help keep costs low, and historically, Whirlpool washers have been more reliable in the long term than washing machines from Maytag, Amana or KitchenAid. Then I would get a matching dryer, but the best dryer for a budget price is the Kenmore 67862 (electric)Budget dryer.
Reviews say nearly all mid-priced Kenmore models do a good job with the basics. This model, the 7.5-cubic-foot 67862, has all the essentials, including an extra-large drum, moisture sensor, drying rack, drum light, end-of-cycle signal and rustproof porcelain top. Kenmore sells dozens of similar models with only slight variations in features (some include a drying rack, some don't).
All models have a drop-down door (as opposed to a swing-out door). All cut costs with rotary dials instead of electronic controls, and they skip a stainless steel drum (which experts say you don't really need anyway). Don't get a Maytag When we bought our retirement home, I thought I'd get the biggest and best washer and dryer. I love to wash the blankets and conforters in between guest visits. We bought the Maytag set just over 3 years ago.
Within one year the transmission had to be replaced on the washer. (Mind you, there are only two of us). A few weeks ago I noticed water in front of the washer.
I pulled it out to make sure all hoses were screwed tightly and the discharge hose was in place and intact. I called customer service, it took 10 days for a diagnostition to come out and tell me my washer was leaking. $73.00.
The seal at the base of the transmission is leaking. Total estimate $385.00. I emailed Maytag, told them the history....'sorry', they said.
I honestly think they could have worked with me a bit since it was their factory rep that installed the transmission and possibly didn't replace the seal...but no. No extended waranty...no help. They've lost this customer!

Front loaders -- Maytag or Whirlpool I absolutely love my parents' front-loading Maytag washer and dryer set. Mostly because it gets clothes really clean, for instance I had a white tank top that I thought I was going to have to throw away because of a bad stain that the washer at my apartment complex just didn't get out, but when I took it home (with the rest of my laundry) at break, a trip through their set made it look new again. Other nice things about front loaders is that they use less water than regular washing machines, making it better for the environment and they (or my parents' model at least) can wash clothing that are supposed to be washed by hand.
Whirlpool recently bought Maytag, so their machines will probably become pretty similair as time goes by and even before then those were probably the top two brands. Sources: Personal Experience .
1 We have been quite pleased with our 3 1/2 year old Kenmaore 80 Series washer and dryer. One thing you may want to consider is a new technology on the market called LaundryPure by Ecoquest (see laundryplus.com/edenair). Yes, I am in business with this product.
However, the results have been excellent over the last 4+ months. We use no detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener and only cold water. Some exceptions do exist with stains, but the clothes are remarkably clean as well as smell fresh.
The unit will pay for itself with the savings we gain from not buying detergents and hot water. Just something to think about! - Steve .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
