Well, colleges realy care about sophomore GPA, so the C might hurt her, but if her other teachers gave her low grades as well, she's in trouble. She can still make up for the grade, but the C will still show up on her transcript. I don't want to criticize, but although her classes may be difficult, other students are going through the same thing, and sometimes what they're doing is more difficult.
Despite everything, a C is just average, and things might balance out when the final GPA is calculated. I just want to mention that not all colleges look at weighted GPA, so your friend needs to make sure that the colleges that she is applying to will accept the weighted GPA. Honors and AP classes are generally more difficult, and one would need to work twice as hard to adjust to the challenges that the classes throw at a person.
You're preparing for the AP exam, and it's a college class, so of course it will be harder. She needs to focus her attention on the classes, and make sure that her studying habits are improving. Although it depends on the school you attend at this time, I think that the average sophomore sleeps at around 12, but sophomore year I would sleep at 10ish with 2 AP classes, and 3 honor classes.
My classes are challenging, but not as challenging if I was willing to work hard for it. I'm sure she's the same way. Believe it or not, I'm speaking from experience.
My school is pretty hard to survive, and the average student takes a lot of AP classes. I went from a low GPA to a rather high one. Tell her not to give up (.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
