Before trying to convince your parents about getting a motorcycle why don't you try convincing them to let you take a Motorcycle Basic Riders Course. No need to own a bike the courses usually provide small bikes to train on and the instructers to show you the proper techniques. Taking the course also provides two super reasons for doing so- one, it helps to keep you alive to ride another day and TWO, it helps reduce insurance costs for a newbie.
That # TWO is a zinger for a beginner, it's not cheap, so whatever your plans make sure you have a handle on the costs. You said 'cheers' which may mean you are not a US resident and there are 125s available outside the US, go search.
You want to ride a motorcycle. Your parents are legally required to try to keep you alive, at least until you are 18. You can complain, wah wah wah, "I want a sporty motorcycle!"
And walk to school. Or you can show your parents a Symba, and maybe? And possibly be riding to school.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
