Motorola Droid X vs HTC EVO 4G: features, price, reviews?

It has been quiet a while that HTC's Evo have no competitor, however with the introduction of Motorola's Droid X, the smart phone market has never been the same. With regards to dimension, the Droid X tops the HTC Evo, by mere 0.1", but as far as screen size is concerned both mobile device have the 4.3 inch touch screens. In terms of 4G capabilities, the Evo is ahead of the pack with Sprint's coverage of 32 Cities. In other features, the Evo have phone to phone capabilities, but it is lacking in Skype compared to Droid X, which have the Skype features.

On the number of pixels, the Droid X is way ahead of Evo, its total pixels is around 409,920. Lastly, the Droid X have a much longer battery standby time of 220 hours, while the Evo have 146 hours standby time.In my opinion, I would prefer the Motorola Droid X because it tops the HTC Evo in terms of screen, battery, form factor and multimedia capabilities.

In terms of comparing the Motorola Droid X and HTC EVO 4G here are some of the key specs: Similarities - Both phones utilize 1 GHz processors and speed is nearly identical using apps. EVO 4G seems to have a slight edge in browser performance. - Both phones have 8 MP cameras with video - Both phones can be used as wifi hotspots – the Verizon/Droid option is cheaper, but a little more limited and the EVO/Sprint option is a little more robust.

- Both phones have 4.3 inch displays, but the Droid X has slightly higher resolution (most reviewers couldn’t notice a significant difference) - Both phones are touch screen only Differences - Reviewers seem to like the construction of the Droid X slightly better than the EVO - The Droid X has better battery life (8 hours talk time vs. 6 hours for EVO). - Probably the biggest difference is the network. Droid X runs on Verizon and EVO runs on Sprint.

Both networks are well regarded, so the difference is mostly preference, what’s better in your area and/or what you have already. Both of these phones are the cream of the crop for their respective carriers and both are worthy competitors in the smart phone market. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Both phones are interesting. Here are short descriptions of these phones. Motorola Droid X OS - Android 2.1 (Éclair) Dimensions - 127.5 x 65.5 x 9.9 mm (155 g) Display - 4.3 inches (480 x 854 pixels) Memory/Storage - 512mb RAM, 6.5gb internal memory (with microSD slot used to upgrade storage up to 32gb) Battery life – talk-time up to 8 hours; stand by up to 220 hours HTC Evo 4G OS – Android 2.1 (Éclair) Dimensions - 122 x 66 x 13 mm (170g) Display – 4.3 inches (480 x 800 pixels) Memory/Storage - 512mb RAM, 1gb internal memory (with microSD slot used to upgrade storage up to 32gb) Battery life – For 3G uses, it lasts up to 4 - 4.5 hours Comparison... When it comes to their hardware, both phones are impressive.

Both phones use a 1GHz processor which is quite fast for a phone. Both phones have HDMI ports that can be used to stream videos to a TV or monitor in 720p HD resolution. Both have 8 megapixel cameras.

Both phones have rubberized finish for easy grip. But when it comes to size, Droid X is slightly bigger than Evo. Another difference they have aside from the size is the phones interface.

Although both phones use the same OS, they have a different home screen. Droid X uses Motorola’s MotoBLur UI while EVO uses HTC’s Sense UI. And lastly, another difference between these phones comes on their battery life.

Droid X is the winner when it comes to battery life because of the poor battery performance of EVO which everyone complains about. Here's a video comparing the two mentioned phones done by Phone Arena. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUZgemTQusM For me, both phones look good but they have undesirable features... I don't like the battery life for EVO and the huge size of Droid X (oops, both are big anyway).

And both phones doesn't have great screens like iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S. If you should choose between this phone, I think you should opt for Droid X. I'd rather suffer the consequences of having a heavy phone than having a phone with poor battery life.

But again, I still advice to pick some other phones like maybe Samsung Galaxy S (there are many variation of Galaxy S, choose what fits your lifestyle the most) or iPhone.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
