This is an old question but hopefully my answer can be useful to someone. It's best to approach anxiety from multiple angles. You might want to see a counselor, but make sure you don't find one who is just going to prescribe drugs; especially with young kids who are at or approaching puberty, medications can be very harmful.

And even for adults, there is little evidence that medication does anything for anxiety in the long-run. I have been working on a page on natural treatments for anxiety:cazort.net/topic/natural-remedies-treatm... of these would I emphasize in your particular case? Physical touch is really important, especially for children, and caring touch can be helpful for people of all ages, for reducing stress and anxiety.Be affectionate with her.

Also look at diet and nutrition. Be cautious...you don't want to come across as bossy or controlling, but make it so that she has healthy options. Eating a well-balanced diet, low in processed foods, low in sugar and refined starches, can help reduce anxiety.

Also, make sure you eat with your daughter instead of having her eat alone or in a hurried manner. Cognitive approaches are also very effective for curbing anxiety attacks; there is one book I link to on my page that may help. Counselors can also help.

You can also do some of this yourself: the key idea is to identify thoughts that are going through your daughter's head as she is having an anxiety attack. Ask her what she is thinking about when she's having a panic attack, or what she remembers thinking about. Then, write down the thought and talk about it.

As she sees that her fears are irrational, and as she gets better at catching the thoughts consciously as they are happening, she will stop having the attacks. Also, teaching your daughter breathing exercises, or other relaxation exercises, or exercises that promote mindfulness may be helpful. Good luck!

And despair, feeling better and feeling worse...for years. Is a common struggle for many with anxiety. But, lasting results can be attained.

To return to lasting normal health because we've done it ourselves.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
