My 9 month old is having trouble sleeping through the night.... my nerves need help. My 9 month old, up until about a month ago slept through the night. Now she has the weirdest sleeping schedule and I don't know how to fix it!
I have tried just getting her up and putting her down, but she will cry for an hour if she has too.... I also tried the slow 15 minutes at a time thing where I put her down 15 minutes before the time I did the night before and wake her up 15 minutes before I got her up the day before and it's not working. Her routine as of today is wake up at 12-1 in the afternoon (yeah... I know), nap at about 4 for about 1.5 hours, nap at 7 for 45 minutes, go to bed at 12 or 1 and wake up for 2 hours at 3. This is so messed up and I don't know how to fix it!

Take Turns My only suggestion is you and your husband take turns. I worked two job's back when we had babies, but I took turns with my wife and got up every other night while she got her sleep. Then there could be a medical problem that can only be solved if you take your baby to a doctor and have her, or he checked out..
WOW, that is strange! I've never heard of such a messed-up sleep routine in my life! You must be ready to collapse!
So, here's what I'd do. We had the same sleep routine for all three of our kids, and it works like a charm if you are consistent. Being consistent is the key!
Don't let your baby sleep in so late. I'm sure you need the sleep, but for a few days at least you'll have to buckle down to chage the shedule. If she is falling asleep at five in the morning, let her sleep maybe until 8:00 at the latest.
Wake her up, follow your normal routine of breakfast, playtime, etc. At 10:00 put her down for a nap. If she cries, wait five minutes, then go in and comfort her without picking her up. Don't stay in her room for more than a minute.
Verbally reassure her, pat her, and leave. Wait ten minutes, then do the same thing. Then give it 15 minutes.
If the longest you can stand to wait is 15 minutes, then keep it at that. If you can make it 20, go for it. If after an hour she's still awake and crying, get her up and try again at the next nap, about one or two in the afternoon.
Follow the same routine, also getting her up after an hour if she is still crying. When you aren't trying to get her to sleep, just go about your day as usual. The ideal bedtime for a 9 month old is 7:00.
If your baby is really stubborn and hasn't napped all day, you may want to put her down even a bit earlier than that because she'll be overtired. Anyway, follow the same routine of going in to comfort her as needed every 5, 10, and then 15 minutes until she falls asleep. At night, give this as much time as it takes, even if she is still crying after an hour. When (if) she wakes up during the night, do the same thing.
If she goes from crying to whimpering, don't go in as she'll probably get upset all over again. This is rough, no lie, especially because you are reworking her schedule pretty much from scratch. It is hard to listen to the crying, but you will notice a big improvement even from one day to the next.
After three nights, things should be so much better and you can all enjoy a good night's sleep! If you can tough out the crying, you'll sort things out much faster than any other method. If the crying truly gets to you and you want to try another approach, there are books detailing the methods.
I'll post them below, but from what I understand they take longer. It all depends on what feels right to you and fits in your parenting style. The method I gave you is from Ferber's book "Solving Your Child's Sleep Problems. " All of our kids slept with us for the first year or so, and while they never got into such strange schedules, being consistent with putting them to sleep like this got them out of our bed and kept them in their own beds.
I always make exceptions for sick children, but at the most it only ever took 3 nights to get them back on track. Good luck, and I hope you get some rest soon! Sources: three stubborn kids!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
