I have to question him saying he didn't do it then. I've dealt with alot of criminals, and every one of them says they're innocent. They are only convicted if there is overwhelming evidence against them, even the slightest hint of doubt gets them found not guilty.

Given my extensive experience in this field I'd have to question the truth of your brother saying he isn't guilty. The police don't need to make up evidence and frame innocent people, they have enough real criminals to deal with on a daily basis. If you truly believe that he is not guilty, then find overwhelming evidence to support that.

If you have such evidence, then present it to your brother's lawyer, or to your political representatives. The courts can order a new trial despite having his appeals exhausted, but it will only happen if some amazing new evidence is presented. The justice system is set up that you are innocent until proven guilty.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
