My cat is moaning sometimes when he urinates?

My cat is moaning sometimes when he urinates Ok. I do have a call into the vet. But I wanted to get your opinions.

I have a 10 year old male cat who is active, eats well, appears to urinate not in the box. But I have noticed that sometimes when he urinates or I put him in the box, he moans from way down deep, not a cry a moan. This is not a brand new thing.It has been going on sporatically for the last couple months.

Most likely diagnosis is a urinary tract infection But the vet is an absolute MUST for this. There could be other things such as cystitis going on that you don’t want to ignore. If the cat’s urine becomes blocked it could be fatal in just a few hours.

Urine Crystals My guess would be crystals in the urine. I've had several cats who have developed that problem; it seems to be rather painful for them, and if it gets really bad they can't urinate at all. Which can, of course, become a very serious problem.

You need to buy food that is healthy for them. I now use Iams and tuna for my cats and so far they are ok..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
