Buy a new one. Entirely possible is that the motor is burned out, and if so, repair is AS expensive as replacement.

The reset button often requires a REALLY HARD push to get it to reset.

You also may have popped the fuse or circuit-breaker at the main panel. Check that too.

On the bottom of each disposal, there is a socket that takes an Allen wrench (either 3/8 inch or 1/4 inch). You'll need to use the Allen wrench and turn the whole assembly (NOT just the blades) and it will free up the motor. This is relatively common - you may even mid the allen wrench under the sink, because most installers simply leave it there.

You probably don't need a new one.(I'm assuming you have checked to see the power is on, and the circuit breaker on the disposal has been reset by pushing it) .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
