My highlights are too blonde can I darken them with one of the demi permanent colors like med. Ash brown? My hair was lightened with a high lift tint not bleach.

I'm trying not to damage or dry it out more than it is which is why I thought a semi permanent would work best. Asked by MrsBigStuff 27 months ago Similar questions: highlights blonde darken demi permanent colors med ash brown Lifestyle > Beauty.

So I spent $9 at sally and got this, the special solution for it, and an empty color bottle. No horrible smell.

I put it onto my roots and eyebrows for 15 mins, and put it through the rest of my ends for another 5, and took off my brows. Lots of people have wrote that this runs really dark. And it really does - I got a 4n - which is neutral medium brown.

It is a really really dark brown. Which is fine, but I think after a week it will be more of what I was picturing when I did this.My hair doesn't feel fried or funky - i'll likely repurchase.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. I've decided to use demi color on my hair. I color it all diff. Kinds of red.

I figured why use something that will only hurt my hair. I mixed two colors, chesnut & fiery red. It turned out great!

I use Pantene color shampoo now. I love it. My color is so vibrant.

I would for sure buy it again. I'm using this for awhile. I'm letting my hair get even longer.

I can't do that if I keep frying it. Rated 5 of 5 aggrolounge on 2/21/2009 4:39:00 PM more reviews by aggroloungeAge: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown I love this color! The color selection is nice and very accurate.

This is the most luck I've had with using "N" or neutral colors.. usually they tend to swing to gold or red on me, but this stayed true. Just make sure you're using a protein filler on your ends! I have some pretty noticeable greys so I have to use permanent dye to fully cover them, but I like to use a demi every other time to give my hair a break. The color Dark Sand is amazing. It's a 6/7, but comes out much darker because it's deposit-only.

I would say it looks like a 4/5 when first dyed, but it does gradually lighten. The shades and levels can be very misleading with deposit-only color, in my experience the color always comes out darker than it would with a permanent dye. I'm a guy. I tried Just For Men, made a mess, tried to fix it, and made it worse. I then went to three professionals, who inflicted on me some of the most ghastly shades of color I've ever seen.

I have to think that some of them don't know what they're doing. After spending hundreds of dollars and suffering weeks of embarrassment, I finally made it to this site, where the collecitve wisdom saved me. I bought some ColorFix and a tube of Wella and not only undid all the damage but restored my hair to its natural color.

Many thanks.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. I had previously dyed my hair dark, and I wanted it blonde again, so I bleached it and then applied this.

I'm not too impressed. I left it on for 20 minutes and it toned down the bleach look, but it still had way too many red/brassy tones, and it just didn't seem to take as well as I had hoped. I heard that these colors run dark, but that wasn't true for me.

I had to try another color, since it still looked bad. I ended up using L'oreal Color Gems, and that color processed beautifully in only 10 minutes. The result was much richer, too.

I might try this again one day if my local Sally's was out of Color Gems, but I doubt it. Sources: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ID=22556/Color_Charm_Demi-Permanent_Hair_Color/Wella/Hair_Color/ .

Wella • Color Charm Demi-Permanent Hair Color • Hair Color This is absolutely my favorite hair color ever. I'm a former cosmetologist and have used just about everything from drugstore to salon color and everything in between. It gets my naturally blonde hair and eyebrows black.

The colors do run a bit dark, but will fade over time. It smells great and always leaves my hair very shiny and sleek. I actually look forward to my touch ups.It won't lift your hair, so if you want to go lighter you need something else.

But, if you want to go a level (or five! ) darker, redder etc., this is the one. Sources: makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/I... .
