My Idle Pen, would you take the time to comment or suggest improvements?

Check throttle position sensor (TPS). Check whether your city library or local community college library has an online subscription to Alldata. Look up your vehicle.

Look up TPS. It will show an electrical diagram of the TPS and tell how to check it with a voltmeter. Is your "check engine" Iight on?

If yes, have your ECM (computer) interrogated for any stored fault codes. Auto parts stores will do it free. If no, make sure your "check engine" light works.

When you turn your ignition on, before you start the engine, the light should be on. If it isn't, check the bulb and if it's burned out, replace it. Then you'll probably see that it's on.

You can check your own OBD1 codes: http://www.troublecodes.net/gm/ TPS codes are 21 and 22. Sometimes bad EGR valve makes problems. Sometimes dirt in throttle body makes problems.

Check Alldata for diagnostic help for off-idle sputtering, hesitation, etc (whatever word they call it).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
