I suggest the private message function have quoted text like e-mail does so that I know what is being referred to in a particular message. Also in the function for sending messages and compliments, there should also be quoted text included in messages. A larger word limit for the question text box can be useful for asking specific questions, so that I do not have to use the details text box for the questions.

Besides what you said I can think of the following. Discussion Boards 1) I feel a need for "rich text editor" in DB's. Basically the same "edit bar" that we have for answers would be great.
We do need to be able to link to a website, use smilies, write texts in bold and italic easier, quote and itemize! That would be a great addition. 2) I use FireFox and I don’t need a spell checker but I think there are some who need it.
I have seen some people who say they are happy with that. It would be good if they could add the spell checker to the whole website. 3) I think it would be great if when you send a compliment via DB to somebody, you could realize which post that compliment is referring to.
Right now from a compliment you can’t say which DB Post the compliment refers to! 4) It would be great if we could forward a single post or several posts in DB’s to our friends. 5) It would be great if we could add a DB to our "Discussions" without posting anything in that DB.It is REALLY helpful.
6) It would be great if we could add photos in the DB. Private Messages 1) An increase of our storage area. Google has tens of (if not hundreds of) millions of users and offers every one of them over 7 GB of storage space and counting!
How come Amazon can not provide us with a more storage space?! Right now you can only have 200 messages in your inbox and 200 in your sent messages that is ridiculous. 2) We should be able to put different messages in different folders 3) There should be a way to delete several messages at the same time.
Right now we should delete them all one by one!4) The ability to quote a message when you reply it.5) The ability to forward a message.6) Draft folder is much needed. We don't want to lose our message if we are going to leave Askville in the middle of our message. Firends List It would be great if we could manage our friends list.
Put a note next to each friend if we want. Rearrange their order and put them in a different order, alphabetically or any order we would like. List them in separate categories.
These are all what has been asked by several Askvillers. Topics There had been a LOT of talk about topic maintenance. A LOT of suggestions have been made and I think Askville should do something about that.
It just doesn’t seem right that we have so many mis-spelled topics. There should be a way to combine "movies" and "movie". There just is no need for BOTH of them.
Watchlist A lot of times I want to organize my watchlist. I want to put different questions in different folders. I want to put the ones that I want to answer by my L1 multiplier in one folder and the ones that I want to answer with my L2 multiplier in a different folder.
There are some that I want to answer, some others are in my watchlist just to check their answers. I want a way to organize my watchlist and put them in different folders. Askville Gazette We couldn’t find out any *rule* for who gets Askville weekly and who does not get it!
They should fix this problem. I have yet to get an Askville weekly. I have sent PM’s to Askville Mayor about that and never got any responses from him.
Automatic Tie Breaker I think when there is a tie in the highest ratings for an answer there should be an automatic appeal system that randomly selects a few people and asks them to *only* select the Best Answer. Right now if there is a tie, then no Best Answer Ribbon is awarded. Superpowers I would like to see L3 and higher superpowers.
They could be surprising! Recent Activities I would like them to add an option in our "Recent Activities" that when one of our answers is scored it mentions that. I would like to also see the final score of any question that is posted in our story page linked to its corresponding question.
That would help us keep track of everything. I am sure I can think of more but this is all I remember right now. Sources: experience and opinion!Paradise.
T's Recommendations Google Gmail (Visual QuickStart Guide) Amazon List Price: $16.99 Used from: $7.00 I LOVE Gmail. I would like Askville to implement only SOME of what Gmail has! Our Askville mailbox is VERY slow.
It is stupid!.
My desired enhancements Here are some improvements I’d like to see in Askville: On the Gold tab, I’d like to be able to click on each score and have it take me to the answer that got that score. On the Watchlist function, I’d like to create at least two different sublists, one for questions I’m just watching and one for questions I’m thinking about answering. In fact, a half a dozen or so user-defined sublist tabs would be great!
I’d like to see a way to break best answer ties. My suggestions would be to either award more than one best answer like they do now for appeals, or send tied answers out to an odd number of people who would choose which one they think deserves the BA award (not a revote). I’d like a way to have discussions I’m following but haven’t contributed to yet appear on my Discussion list When you get a compliment on a discussion board topic, I’d like a way to tell which comment it applies to.
If you’ve posted more than one comment, there’s no way to tell. I’d like the ability to forward private messages to others, and to more than one at a time I’d like the ability to forward questions to multiple friends at a time I’d like to put my friends and faves in any order I want, or at least have the option to alphabetize them. Although I do use Google site search, a way within Askville to find people, questions, and answers would be helpful I’d like all clicked widgets to be added to the answer when you move off the widget function.
How many times have you had to go back because you forgot to click “Add selected items? ” I’d like the entries on the discussion boards to refresh dynamically without having to do anything to refresh them, like hit refresh or go out and come back in. I’d like a short text box added to the appeal function so we could explain why we are appealing an answer.
When I’m looking at my Recent Activity and click on Answers, I’d like to see different categories for my answers vs. others’ answers to my questions This isn’t a new function, but I’d sure like the inbox to load more quickly. I’d also like a way to clean it out without having to click on each item one-by-one. So that’s all I can think of at the moment. No doubt as soon as I click on “submit” I’ll think of more!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
