Both. I live at home and look after 2 cats, my parents dog, and my own dog. Cats are a lot easier to care for between the two and don't require as much time put into them unlike dogs.
The dogs demand more time than the cats in regards to exercise and training. All the cats I have been raised with have been incredibly friendly and loving. My parents eldest cat will loudly greet my parents or myself when we come home and rub all up around our legs before transferring that affection to the closest dog.
She and our other cat will even come when called.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
