My mom's laptop won't connect to the hosptial's internet. It says it's connected, but no local access?

My mom's laptop won't connect to the hosptial's internet. It says it's connected, but no local access Her security level is set to "high" and can't seem to be lowered...the default is "high", so is the "advance custom settings". Could this be the problem?

Open Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center. Check to make sure you are connected to the network and from the network to the internet. Let me know if you have RED-X between the network and internet.

It didn't have a RED-X. I took off an extra firewall that she'd installed and now it works. Thanks for your time.

We'll have to assume the hospital allows guests to access their network. Have they provided you the wireless network SSID? .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
