It Says that I'm not connected. When I troubleshoot, it says that there is a problem with the network adapter. Maxjr 14 days ago .
There are two ways to connect, one would be with software that came with your wireless adapter, and the other would be with the built-in Windows (assuming you have Windows) networking. Did you install any software with your adapter? If you didn't install any software with your adapter, what happens when you open "Network connections?"
Do you see anything that says "Wireless Network Connection? " If you do, right-click and select "View available wireless networks. " You should be able to connect at that point.
I have Windows XP but it should be similar with Vista or Windows 7.
I did install the software and it's running on window 7. I'm starting to think that there could be something wrong with my windows 7. I put it in safe mode to try and run it by itself and then when I took it of it was all messed up like it windows 93. Maxjr 14 days ago .
Safe mode is usually not very helpful. Take out your wireless adapter, restart your computer and then plug the wireless adapter back in. The software you installed should guide you though setting up your wireless.
Usually you have to install it first before plugging in your usb adapter.
I've done that several times already. I've even let the geek squad mess with it and they said they have no answers for this problem. Maxjr 14 days ago .
They are both netgear. They were working fine for a friend of mine before he decided to go directly to the modem with the cord. They are compatible.
One morning I got on it the computer and it was picking up wireless. I moved the adapter to a USB port on the back of the computer and it never connected again. But they both are recognizing the signal.
Maxjr 14 days ago .
The USB ports on the back are slightly different than those on the front. If that doesn't work you probably should shell out another $20 for a new network adapter.
I have put it back in the front and ive used three different types of adapters. Lol Maxjr 14 days ago .
It could be a driver problem. A lot of drivers that used to work with xp and vista don't work with Windows 7. Is your system 32 bit or 64?
What is the exact model of the device? .
The system is a 64 bit and the driver is a netgear111 v2. I also tried a netgear3100 v2, a linksys, and a belkin. The belkin worked with my wireless printer but nothing else.
I have read about windows 7 having many flaws. Maxjr 13 days ago .
One of those flaws is that now industry has to make 2 versions of a driver for the same OS. WG111 doesn't work with Windows 7, I got one sitting next to me in my crap-stack. The netgear 3100 is a troublesome usb adapter too, but it should work.Is the network assigning you an IP address?
If you can please post the log from your router after you try to connect. If this is too technical please let me know too.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
