Of course not. What is a paedophile is a matter of judgement - how young does the child have to be before you would define what someone does to them as the result of paedophilia? There's no definite answer to that.
It is also possible to be a paedophile without doing anything wrong, if you have an attraction to children but never act on it. Statutory rape, on the other hand, has to involve both acting on it AND that the child is below a specified age, whatever the law defines that to be. That varies even between states in the US.
Plus some states have "Romeo and Juliet laws" that allow sex a little under the normal age of consent if the two people are close in age, normally 3-4 years apart. So it's possible for sex with someone aged, say, 14 to be legal in one state (if the other person isn't much older) but statutory rape in the next state. Or the country may not even have statutory rape.
In English law, for example, there is no such thing, only "sexual activity with a minor". The age of consent is 16, but English law also has another dividing line at 13. A child under 13 is deemed to not be able to consent so it is always treated as rape and the prison sentence will be longer than if the child was over 12.
No an 18 year old guy could be charged with statutory rape for having sex with a 16 year old in some states. Obviously he isn't a pedophile though.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
