You can sue her for your veterinary bills in Small Claims Court. Don't worry about the fate of her dog; you are suing to recover money damages that her dog caused you, not to punish her dog. Somebody knows where this woman lives, and her neighbors know who she is.
You can look up who owns the house, and then you know either the woman's name or her landlord's name. I'm sure the landlord would be interested in knowing that her tenant had a vicious dog. Small Claims Court should have a staff that will help you fill out the paperwork, or you could go to a local law school or other self-help clinic.
Edit: If she doesn't pay up before you go to the judge, bring witnesses whose dogs were also attacked. Establishing that she knew her dog had a propensity to attack will really bolster your case.
I would sue. She had NO business with her dogs off-leash if she knew they were aggressive. Report it to the police, make sure you gather the others (owners) that dogs were attacked at one point, report to landlord if she rents.
This woman doesn't need these dogs, especially since it's clear she can't control them. I saw you said you got bitten trying to get the lab off your pit bull.......sue for that too, along with vet bills for your dog. If that were me, I'd sue and ask for the attacking dog to be put down by Animal Control.
I wouldn't want to hear any sob stories either. Because if it were the other way around and your pit bull attacked her lab, she would request it be put to sleep. I've had several dogs try to attack my on-leash rat terrier, but I always carried a stick and my set of house keys (for stabbing).
Try something if they want, the attacking dog is good as dead and I don't care if the owner is standing there either.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
