Neutering small breed dogs/runts, dangerous?

I personally would wait until your dog is over a year old before having him neutered. There are two good sites with a lot of info on this subject which I would suggest you read before you commit to having your dog neutered. You can wait until he's fully grown if you wish. I think I would wait since he's unhealthy. While this operation is pretty much safe in healthy dogs, I wouldn't be so sure about an unhealthy one.

NO.....size is immaterial;rats can be castrated. Castration is simple quick & easy-not a BFD. & "runt" only means smallest born,nothing else.

At 7 months, the biggest this dog is going to get is probably 3 pounds. I would NOT have this dog neutered now. My vet would NOT neuter this dog now.

No way anyone can give you 100% answer but if you're concerned and the operation is not vital at this stage wait until he is olde , stronger and in better shape, health wise. In any case its not as big an op as for female neutering since there's no internal incision and its a fairly straightforward procedure.

Have to ask vet who knows what he is doing buy from over bred byb/mill and you will always have unhealthy dogs.

No operation is 100 % safe weather you are well or otherwise . However neutering carries very little risk. And if you vet thought it was very high risk im sure he wouldnt do the operation I wouldnt personaly get my dog neutered at seven months .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
