NEW FEATURES: Minimum "vote interesting" tip now .01; Alerts on profiles?

I like the way the default profile view is the "alerts" that is really sweet and very useful. Now the possibility of continuing conversations within questions is much higher. A+ for that.

I found the $0.01 by accident this morning when trying to add a Mahalo nickel to a question.. much to my pleasant surprise I actually added a penny. While this might have slighted that particular question 4 cents I think in the long run a ton more questions will be receiving 8, 10, 12 + interesting votes and that will generally draw more attention to each question.. more attention = more answers and the better likelihood of getting that over the top great answer we all are looking for. Team tipping might become an Olympic sport.

Thanks for a job well done.

I've been waiting for this! Thank you Jason... you are a true band manager of rock stars!

I like the updates that you have made to the Mahalo web pages. However, I read and answer questions from the iPhone app. Please update the iPhone app so we can vote wit it.

I noticed the .01 cent tip option late last night and I was excited! I honestly would rather stick with tipping .05 cents of higher, I feel an interesting question is deserving of more then a penny, however HOPEFULLY this will motivate users who do not tip as frequently/generously as others to get on the ball and tip away! And secondly I LOVE the alerts feature.

I'm somewhat of an 'attention lover' (decided not to use the other word) and I love knowing when an answer of mine has been voted for and it helps let me know when something I have said has been commented one (for some reason I don't get those e-mails as often as I should even though I get comments on my answers...) I think everything is moving along great @jasoncalacanis and I am VERY excited about being a part of this community can't wait to see what changes are to come in the future! Thanks for an awesome website! @tealmyster.

Yes, I must ruin everything with nay-saying. My alerts tab isn't working. I'm getting the red box o' doom.

I think the small tip to vote interesting is interesting though. :).

I'm glad to see the new alerts section. It should include the important activity like questions asked/answered, comments given and received, direct questions sent and received, tips and best answers received, tasks submitted and approved.

This is good news. Thanks. Some questions: 1.My “Answers - Tips Given

Is 0 though I have given tips in the past and these few days. Is there a bug there? I have done different types of tipping: vote up a question, tip in direct question (I tip some answerers that didn’t get BA in my question but their answers are great).. etc.. I didn’t keep track of the stats “Q&A – tips given

So I don’t know whether it’s recorded correctly.2. What are included in “Tips Given Are the following items included?A.

Vote questions interesting b. Ask tipped questions b. Ask direct tipped questions c.

Tip answer d. Tip comment 3. Any way we can check which type of tipping we have done?

4.Is a Mahaloian not a “taker If he tips in every other way but not vote question interesting? Sometimes I wish to reserve some funds to tip other ways.. 5.

Will it be mandatory by day? How will Mahalo keep track? Most Mahaloians don't visit Mahalo daily.

Will it be by number of tips or amount of tips? Some Mahaloians are not so active on Answers but on others.6. If I vote a question interesting (tip) but the question eventually goes NBA.

My tip will be returned to me. What will happen to the "tips given"? 7.

If I vote a question interesting (tip) and eventually I get the BA. I effectively get back my tip. What will happen to the "tips given"?

If you're not voting up the interesting questions on Mahalo you are NOT a real member of the community--you are "a taker. " YES! That's how I feel.

Except I never vote anything up... I wish that I could have more questions to ask just to infuse the community with more prompts. Look for Digital Design to come back soon!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
