Yes, it can very much affect someone's OCD. Especially if they have a type of OCD where they fear hurting other people or themselves. I recommend that if you have this type of OCD, you should limit your exposure to violent media.
I would even further recommend that even if you don't have OCD at all, you still should limit your exposure to violent media. We should expose ourselves to things which are good and make us feel good. We should not always be searching for some adrenaline rush.
Did you know that too much adrenaline in the body can actually damage the circulatory system and your heart? It's not because of the actual stress itself, it's the fact that the stress uses up a lot of the vitamin C in your body, which is used by the vascular system to maintain it's health. So violent media can make you more stressed, which makes it harder to deal with any type of OCD.
People that are trying to become OCD free should not be exposed to any ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
