Ok im trying to find a book that I bought and subsequently lent to a friend who has now lost it! The book is about a series of escalating attacks from earths oceans. Whales, sharks, fish, in fact all sealife starts to attack human kind.
Its fairly recent e.g. Within the last 7 or so years I believe. It culminates with the discovery of a central intelligence residing in the a deep trench in one of our oceans and the scientists and military try to both communicate and destroy it. I think it was written by a norwegian author, name certainly didn't seem anglo.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
