Owners of CSK also involved in the spot fixing saga. What's your reaction?

For the owners, far too much is at stake to imdulge in petty spot fixing..... they might of course get into match fixing, but probably that can be dared only if some powerful BCCI people are also roped in. Not attractive enough as it is high risk affair. Nevertheless it does seem inexplicable how they make enough money to pay so heavily to BCCI and to the players and support staff...... gate collection needs to be shared with the owner of the ground and I don't think they get paid anything from the TV ads which obviously go to the Channel owners who buy the rights by paying heavily to BCCI.

I guess they own IPL franchises for the same reason people own soccer teams. It's about prestige, and saying to your billionaire mates that you can afford an expensive hobby. Many probably bet.

Almost certainly some spot fix. I doubt whole matches are thrown though, that would be too hard to keep secret.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
