People Do Die. Would You Prefer You Die Before Your Spouse?, or Your Spouse Should Die First? Why?

If I had my choice I would want my wife to die first so she would not know the pain of loosing me and having to deal with shutting down my complex life.

I watched my grandmother at the bedside of my grandfather moments after he died, and realized that would be us someday (my husband and myself). I don't like either option. It is a cruel, merciless reality with no benefiting factors.

Your timing is amazing , was thinking about this today , hate both ideas , will get back to you on this one.

I also thought about this sometime! I would prefer if I died first because I don't want to die alone. But on the other hand I wouldn't want my partner to be left alone either!

And since I cannot know I hope we both live long and healthy lives and grow happy together :).

I hope that my husband dies first. He is almost 30 years older than me and expects to die first, if I go first I don't think he'd be able to handle it. On the other hand, though I know my old age is going to be extremely lonely, I have time to prepare for that eventuality and have many ways to keep myself busy to try to take my mind off losing him.

Yes, an astute observation, people do die but I don't want anyone I know to die thanks! :).

This is a hard question to answer...I think though that Id want to die first. Reason being it would hurt to have my spouse die on me first, I would die along with them (inside). My heart would seriously break, and Id feel alone like I couldn't go on anymore....

Every life in the world has to taste the taste of death on day....its me or my spouse..dosent matterhotneews2010.blogspot.com.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
