1 Our strawberries and blueberries are both in now, which makes a red, white, and blue dessert for our Fourth BBQ quite easy! Blackberries won't be ripe until August. Pluots on one tree are starting to show some blush, but it will be a few weeks yet.

Peaches not near ready. Cherries finished. Plums a good month off still. So are pears and apples.

Grapes start in August but we have an enormous crop coming! Saw some bell peppers half grown on a couple of bushes today. We've been harvesting cucumbers for awhile.

I saw ONE this morning which was doing well. Broccoli is continuing, as it will for a year, God bless it! Bean harvest is starting, pea harvest is finished pretty much.

Saving a few for seed peas so they are ripening on the vines. Tomatoes not yet. Nights are just now getting warm enough.

First beets and carrots have come in and been prepped. Chard is finished. Lettuce is almost finished -- starting to bolt.

I felt down in the dirt under the potatoes and we have some nice big ones coming along quite early this year! Celery is finished but seeding now. Asparagus is allowed to go to fern now to produce more roots and thus more shoots for next year.

Artichokes are finished. Squashes and pumpkins have started forming but it will be a couple of months yet before they are ripe. Still, it's looking good.

Herbs are doing well and we used our first harvested onion (red) a couple of nights ago. More are ready. Garlic we can pull at any time.

Yeah, it's work, but it's a lot of fun, too! And the goats and the chickens love the clippings and peelings and such.
