Yeah, they need a new workers party. Actually we could do with one here in the UK!
Let me point-out what you've overlooked, as have most American voters: We have NOT had Republican control - except in the "nominal;" sense for over 100 years. Here's the cycle: > "We" vote for complete Democrat control and are HORRIFIED with the results. > We elect Republicans, but not enough of them to wrest control away from the Dmeocrats.
> NOTHING can get done without making concessions to the remaining Democrats who, aided by the long-proved fact that around 95% of us NEVER get any news that isn't Democrat-controlled, blame literally ALL of THEIR OWN demands on the Republican majority > Dissatisfied with the scant improvement, we give the Democrats another chance. > HORRIFIED with the results . .
. . And so it goes.
The LAST time Congress had EXTREMELY high popularity; the last time the budget was in REAL balance - not merely "projected" to balance - the last time the debt SHRANK and the last time there was ACTUAL CONTROL by Republicans are all the SAME time.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
