1 see your pediatrician on when to start foods .
2 Please entrust your baby's health to her pediatrician, not a bunch of unqualified strangers on a website.
3 I agree with both of the comments above. However, I looked at this persons profile, and she lives in an area where access to doctors might not be as readily available as it is to us. Sudha - I wish I could help you, but I can't.
The users posting above me are correct - we are not qualified to give you instruction on such an important issue. I'm sorry.
We started with the baby cereals for the first couple of weeks until baby got the hang of eating food. Then did orange vegies (sweet potato, carrot, squash), then green vegies, then fruits last. Meats didn't start till 9 months.
Because babies aren't used to a lot of flavor at first, I would mix the food with baby cereal and a bit of formula to mellow out the flavor the first few times I fed it. Then use more of the food and less of the cereal over the week. As to quantity, well you give the food first, then a bottle.
When the baby rejects it after eating a bit, then that is the right amount. As long as baby isn't loosing weight or getting too thin, you are fine. Also, I made my own baby foods pretty easily.
Take whatever you want to make as a baby food and boil it or steam it with a little water. Throw the water and vegies in the blender and puree. Then freeze in an ice cube tray.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
