Even though it may be common it is not socially acceptable to hate/discriminate against gays. Just because an article voices an opinion or the opinion of others that Obama should not be reelected does not mean that the article is against gay rights unless it says so. Just because Obama supports gay rights doesn't mean that everyone who isn't going to vote for him is against gay rights.
Many people were strongly against the reelection of Obama before he openly announced his support for gay rights. They don't want him reelected because they don't agree with the choices he has made for the country during his presidency.
Because change is slow. A good example are black people. It took them hundreds of years, and they still have discrimination.
Gays/lesbians are making better time, but change is still slow.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
