Pre-paid cell phone's anyone currently using Pre-paid, what are your opinions, do you like/dislike your carrier?

1 We had a Go Phone from ATT, their version of a prepaid phone. We set it up for an automatic payment to go into the account on a monthly basis and then fine-tuned it over the next few months until we learned how many minutes were really needed. The phone could also be set to report after each call what the cost of the call was and how much remained in your account.

The first call each day, regardless of who it is to, costs $1.00. Any subsequent call to an ATT phone is free, and calls to another carriers phone is charged based on the duration of the call. The advantage for us was that 1) I could restrict an individual's use of the phone if they tended to go way over their minutes - the Go Phone would just stop working until the next cash infusion, 2) if the phone breaks or gets lost you pay somewhere between $19.99 and $49.99 for a new one and you are good to go - no insurance, no full-price replacement, just a one-time payment, and 3) there is absolutely no penalty for stopping service at any time - just remember that any money you have put into the account cannot and will not be refunded.

If you don't use your phone a huge amount, you don't need things such as unlimited texting, you like to know exactly what you are spending as you go, you have a strict phone budget, or you want to be able to stop service any time, then the pre-paid phone is perfect. We spent $30 a month on my son's phone, which allowed him to call us at least once a day (since we also have ATT phones). We stopped using the Go Phone because my son broke, lost or gave away seven Go Phones in a year.

He no longer has a phone.

I will be traveling to Germany to visit friends in April. I have a quad-band GSM phone that is unlocked and would like to buy a pre-paid sim card to use while I am there. My question is which company to go with?

What are the differences? Should I buy one on ebay before I go or wait till I get there? Does anyone have any idea about prices?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
