Questions about Marine Corps Boot Camp.?

I assume you are joking/trolling but take this for what it is worth...My first nite on Parris Island, while in the hell hole known as Receiving, the DI's had us up all night basically torturing us and about 4 am we were at attention against a barracks wall and about 10 feet to my right a recruit steps out of line and announces in a pretty loud firm voice that "my name is so and and so and my father is U.S. Congressman So and So and I have changed my mind and no longer want to do this and demand to see the commanding officer"...as soon as he started speaking two DI's were front and center about 10 inches from his face listening intently...when he stopped speaking I was really wondering what was going to happen, the two DI's looked at each other and broke out into a sinister laugh for about 2 seconds and then slammed him back against the wall so hard I thought they may have broken the wall they both then got in his sh! T yelling SHUT THE F#CK UP and STAY at ATTENTION MAGGOT, You aren't Fu#cking Going Anywhere"...the DI's then marched away continuing their mayhem and the recruit never said another peep...I've often wondered how his 13 weeks and 2 days went on Parris Island, he didn't go to my platoon so I never saw him again...based on my experience I would say there was a 95% chance he got dropped somewhere during training. P.s.

Several weeks later in the later portion of 1st Phase when we were running up our barrack's stairs after a long run, a recruit in my platoon cracked and jumped from the 3rd floor stairwell landing down to the hard deck...we all heard the ambulance come and go but the DI's never said a word about it, we just went on with our training day like nothing had happened...just one more empty rack...we never did hear if he lived or died. Btw my boot platoon started with 77 recruits and we graduated about 45 so we had about a 40% drop rate...Marine boot is a damn serious place.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
