C, plus inflation then hits, taxes and spending more than you have are the prime causes for recessions , and depressions.
Taxes are a business expense. If all of the companies in a particular industry face the same tax (no political special provisions or "allowances"), then the tax is passed to consumers (price increases), workers (lower wages), and investors (lower returns). In practice, most of the expense is typically passed onto consumers primarily, followed by workers, and then to a negligible degree investors (if at all).
Edit: JC obviously has no idea how to run a business. Profits are the number one focus of any business. A business that doesn't profit WILL NOT survive.
For you to pretend that customer satisfaction and profits are mututally exclusive is ludicrous!
If our nation infrastructure is in ruins. Our children sick and dying. Our people unemployed and poor.
It doesn't make sense to spend a trillion dollars on Defense, when we are struggling to survive at home. China spends 7-10% of their budget on Defense. They spend more of their money on infrastructure, job creation and education.
China figures if their people are starving, uneducated, unemployed and driving on pothole roads, than your own people will rise up against the government....not a foreign enemy.
We need a public option to reduce insurance coverage cost than is currently the system. That way the country as a whole can save money on all health care expenditure. The public option is non-profit government working with private insurers and the effect should be to get private insurers direct pay to reduce their premiums.
If they say health care cost is 1/6th of the GNP it is surely not in care, it is administration by insurance companies.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
