Regardless of your religion and without trying to convert anyone, what do you believe, what are your beliefs, what does God mean to you?

Wow, what a hard question. For me, it's the Goddess. But what she means to me, wow.

She means the search for wisdom, a moral and ethical code I follow, a confidant if need be, a presence I am constantly aware of, like a warmth in my soul, a fire that can never be extinguished. She means I respect the Earth, our Mother, without being a wack job. She means that when I meet other Pagans, I have instant brothers and sisters.

She means everything because she is a part of all life, of the universe, of all that is. And none of that sounds as grand or as wonderful as I'd like it to, because what you ask is a bit inexpressible.

I really do not have a religion. I don't follow any strict code or creed. I do have a sense of God in my life.

I know without a doubt that something spiritual is going on in my life. I have a presence with me who feels real because when I let it, this Presence guides me and brings me peace in all situations. I believe this is the God of the Bible, because that is what is most familiar to me, but I have friends who are of other "religions" who call their god by a different name.It is all Bliss and all Blessing.

I know in my heart that when we mention this Spirit that is so Mysterious we are all speaking about the same Presence. It is Holy. That is for certain.

Just as the Spirit that was "In the Beginning" .....That same Spirit, Holy as it is, Created ALL....I enjoy calling that Holy Spirit Love. It sounds weak to me sometimes because it's been so overused...however...there is no better way to say that God is All and God is Love and ....People who have never been introspective prefer thinking of God as "out there" and yet close enough to know them intimately. Where, I have been introspective all my life and therefore I know for certain where God is.....He is in my heart and my mind....just as He is in yours Jameslee and in Bonestructure's.

The magnificence of this Spirit, This Power, This Glory cannot be thoroughly explained....and to me, that is Good. If the mere human mind could define and explain God...it would still fall short. Whatever a person spends his thoughts on is his God.... Some atheists have been so turned off from deep introspection that they say there is no god.

They usually mean no Santa Claus type figure "out there. " I agree. But quite often, Science is their god.

Or Scientists. I believe in the smallest atom, the less than Quantam quantam, the energy, the molucule, the thought, the process, the everything there IS GOD. If there was no Divine and Holy Spirit creating, then we and the earth we call home as well as the galaxies, all moons and all stars...would not exist.

Why? Because we, with all our brain power, with all our compassion.....cannot create a baby's fingernail and have it be normal and have a live birth...much less the cells of a tree. We try, but we cannot.

God is Spirit in my opinion, and that Spirit is what I worship and praise.

We are here to learn through the seven stages of mortality and return where we came. We will find challenges along the way, face persons who have suffered arrested development who then attempt to arrest our development (talk about a bunch of insightless lunatics) and then we return with a fund of knowledge.

Bonestructure Don't get me wrong here. It is apparent that you are not a Christian. I am, but that does not mean that I don't respect your thoughts.

I will put it this way. Because of your answer. Let me ask you, the God that created the universe, mankind/womankind, do you really think that God has a gender?

To me personally, I think what you said has more to do with ego than thought. Let me explain, to me, man a woman are just as important to God as they are to each other. I feel spiritually , that a woman our just as important as a men.(To me, more so.) I believe God does not see gender, only thought, your actions toured others.

As of importance, we are the same in the eyes of God. We both have our rolls to play and they are not the same in my eyes.To me, we are both as equally important to God. Each with it's own uniqueness, each with it's own responsibility.

Is one more important than the other? I would say NO!

You perceive the creator as what makes sense to you. I perceive the creator as what makes sense to me. That doesn't mean one is better than the other.

I respect ALL religions and beliefs. I simply follow the path that works for me and the Creator I have a close personal relationship with. Simple as that.

G-d said who and what He is; "I, the L-rd, am G-d in the heavens above, and on the earth beneigth, and there exist nothing else.

As I was before the beginning, I shall be after the end. I the L-rd, does not change".

The rest of the Tanach is to discribe s relation with and our Relation with .

We are born, we die. Religion is a false hope. There is no God any any sense we have ever had the capability to fathom.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
