Thats what i've been doing over the summer, I want to see other's beliefs but not judge them. Some are very intresting! I like some of the christian, catholic and mormon scriptures, and their paintings and art are very beautiful.
I love how the churches look, they give a warm feel. I know the muslim one very well since I was one, I appreciate it, but I was not meant to be muslim. The mosque is pretty and you can feel the energy in it but I feel odd, women are suppose to be covered so I focus more on being covered then the actual service!
My friends have been teaching me buddhist beliefs, I love they're temples! My friends even showed me they're altar spaces and how they pray. I love learning about other religions, that way I don't make uneducated insulting remarks to offend someones sacred practice.
If you look closely, you can see the good in every religion. Except satanist. I just don't really like them, they give us pagans a bad rep!
I know they don't actually worship the devil and arent evil, I know about their beliefs but still, they give us a hard time.
That makes sense...to a point if I'm buying a house. But when you find say 'the man of your dreams', do you really keep on checking everyone else? So, when you find what's 'right', and yes, you do know it's right, it's not like finding the best ice-cream, or the best organic cereal, you know inside you, then you stop.
Now if you can't trust yourself, well, I suppose you just keep running all over the place.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
