If there is significant wear on the other three tires, then even the small difference in circumference will put additional stress on the differentials in the AWD system. However, if you can shop around and find a used tire with essentially the same tread depth (same pattern, of course) then you can get away with using that. Handy tip: if you use a full size spare, then it is good to periodaclly throw away the old spare tire and replace it with a tire removed form the car - assuming you have not waited until the tire is completely bald.

Another thing to keep in mind is that many radial tires are directional, meaning they can only rotate in one direction, so once they're on the rims, they have to stay on the same side of the car. You never put mismatched tires on the front of a car, so if you do end up replacing just one tire, see if you can get the same make, model, and size.

L W is right about the wear difference. Ignoring the advice to keep the tire size diameter the same is an expensive gamble. All good tire places will tell you the same, not just the car dealer.
