I suggest you talk to a qualified MD or nutritionist about this, because you won't believe me when I tell you that expensive crap will harm you more than help you. You can get all your body needs with a normal, healthy diet. EDIT: Talk to a nutritionist or your doctor.
You can get high quality protein from a couple egg whites, long-lasting carbs from beans, and they have good protein, too. Oh yeah, you can get pumped up with just good foods and no supplements. Really.
Plus excess protein can harm your kidneys. Creatine can be really bad too.
No MacG said it perfectly. Bodybuilders destroy their bodies and won't listen to any professionals about what they are doing. You don't need to fill yourself with garbage to be jacked.
Edit: if you want maximal results then you need to become educated about how to exercise. For you this probably means to get a personal trainer for a little while until you really become comfortable. Though it's very important that you never take NUTRITIONAL advice from a personal trainer or bodybuilder.
Edit: keep track of your food intake if you do not believe me. There is a government website which is perfect for this (mypyramid.gov) go to the nutrition tracker and enter all the foods you eat in a day. I guarantee you, you are getting an excessive amount of protein ALREADY just from the foods you eat.
Your point of view on the subject is WHY misconceptions like these are common in american gyms. Supplements are for those with disabilities who cannot physically digest certain micro or macronutrients. They are not for americans who already get plenty (regardless of how healthy you eat) of nutrients.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
